Facebook now attracts creators by offering new video monetisation options
How irritated are you, as a viewer to see ads pop up at wrong timings while watching a video on Facebook? Or, how tired are you, as a creator to see that your viewers are leaving your video content halfway due to interruptive ad pop ups?
Despite of this, to attract more content creators and increase their revenue, Facebook has come up with new video monetizing options for its creators.
Ad Breaks are available to pages that create videos that are at least
- 3 minutes in length
- that have generated more than 30,000 one-minute views over the past two months
- have 10,000+ followers, and
- meet Facebook’s monetization eligibility standards.
Currently, Facebook offers ad breaks to it’s eligible creators in more than 40 countries and 17 languages. These pages have had earnings over $10,000 in payouts per month.
Facebook is now allowing creators to have more control over the placements of these ad breaks. These options include the non-interruptive ad formats like pre-roll, mid-roll or image ads in a video or below it, that still generate shares of resulting revenue.

“To better support videos that may not have a natural break for ads, we’re providing the ability to only show non-interruptive ad formats like pre-roll or image ads in a video.”, says Facebook. –
