Google looks to provide more advanced Ad tools with the addition of a new platform to create 3D Ads and new AR options for Youtube promotions.
This gives Marketers an opportunity to deliver engaging ad experience and experience through immersive creative. This will allow consumers to interact with products as they would do in real life.
First of all, Google announced its first immersive display known as “Swirl” 3D Ad format designed for mobile web and available on display and video 360.
As explained by Google, “Swirl brings three-dimensional assets to display advertising on the mobile web, which can help educate consumers before making a purchase. They can directly zoom in and out, rotate a product, or play an animation.”
Swirl ads will enable brands which have existing 3D assets to build into their Ad units. Google’s also adding Poly, a new editor tool to make easier for users to create 3D ads.

Now moving towards Youtube, Google plans to roll out another immersive Ad platform this time through AR, to provide users a chance to try on make up products.

This new platform called ‘try-on beauty’ will enable video viewers to check related looks while following Youtube creators.
Likewise, Sephora also had its virtual artist app through which users can try on new look using their phone camera, but ‘Beauty try on’ integrates it directly into the Youtube content. This is going to bring a valuable impact on the marketers in this sector.
Google offers assistance, via 3D production partners, to advertisers who need help creating 3D objects.
The Swirl display ad format will be rolling out later this summer.
