Pinterest adds newer ways to shop from your favorite brands with personalized ideas at the top of the home feed and browse-able catalogues alongside the pins.

Pinterest noticed this pattern in shoppers and brought in updates to give them a ‘picked-just-for-you’ feeling.
Personalized Shopping
A personalized shopping hub is found at the top of your home feed. The products displayed are based on your previous category and connects users to shoppable pins that can be purchased immediately by them.
In addition to this, there will be a further update where a similar product of another brand would be displayed below the selected pin.
Catalogs
Browsable catalogs would appear below the shopping pin, displaying more products from the same retailer.
“For retailers, these features provide another way to reach Pinners while they’re shopping on Pinterest and looking to discover products they’ll love.”, says Pinterest.
According to a new study by Neustar, there is a 2x higher return on ad spend on Pinterest than social media and 1.3x higher return than paid search.
Pinterest is continuously updating itself to make it more shop-friendly.
